"Ms. Sam" grew up in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge on the border of Washington and Oregon. She moved to Seattle for school where she studied design and environmental studies at the University of Washington. After spending a couple of years working as a designer and volunteering at various farms, Sam moved to Bellingham WA to fulfill her dream of teaching gardening and cooking to kids. She trained to be a naturalist and nature connection educator at Wilderness Awareness School in Duvall and brings this nature connection experience to Rooster Valley in the garden and barnyard. Outside of school you may find her enjoying many of the outdoor sports Washington has to offer, hanging out with friends, cooking, and playing frisbee with her dog Squeegee. Ms. Sam just got married this summer. Congrats!
